Buying The Right Jewelry

A few years ago, I got a great gift for my wife. I thought it would be nice to choose a gorgeous gold locket with our family picture in it. She absolutely loved the gift, so I was surprised when she never wore it out of the house. After I talked with her, she explained that the locket was too nice to wear with most of her everyday outfits. That day, I learned a little about buying the right jewelry. Together, my wife and I have developed this blog dedicated to all things jewelry, so that you can buy the right gifts for your loved one.

What Are The Best Types Of Earrings For My Face?

When you find earrings that you love, you may try them on. But then you discover that the earrings just don't look right. Part of the problem is that a beautiful set of earrings may fit one face better than another. When you understand what type of earrings fit your face the best, you'll be able to find the perfect earrings for you.

Face Shape

If you have a heart-shaped face, you will want earrings that de-emphasize the forehead and make your jawline look wider. Rounded earrings make your chin look more rounded. With an oval face, you can wear any type of earring. The possibilities are endless. Wear rounded earrings if you want to accentuate your facial structure. You'll also have many options if you have a diamond face.

If you have a round face, you will want earrings that can elongate your face. Drop earrings are not a good choice because they will make your face look wider. When you have a sharp chin, you'll want to have your face counterbalanced with earrings that have the opposite shape as your face.

For a long and narrow face, one of the best options is hoop earrings. Other options that also work well are studs and short dangles, especially if you are aiming for a more elegant look. If you have a square face, you will want to soften the hard edges around your face. This can be done with earrings that are rounder, such as a very round gold snake hoop earring.

Bone Structure

The size and fineness of your earrings should be based on your bone structure. If you have a fine bone structure, choose fine earrings. Those with a larger bone structure should choose larger earrings. However, the size of your earrings should also be based on whether you are working in a conservative industry. At work, in a conservative industry such as finance, it is better to wear smaller earrings that do not draw a lot of attention.

The good news is that hoop earrings can look great with many face types and can be used to dress up outfits much better than studs. Hoops have several different designs you can choose from, such as yellow gold snake hoop earrings. Hoops can be used for dressy occasions and can also be worn with a casual outfit. Smaller hoop earrings are ideal if a classic look matches your personality.
